Every box player of a certain age knows Jack Emblow – in the 50’s and 60’s he was always on radio and TV – the virtuoso of his instrument, the accordionist who could play Scottish Country Dance music and Jazz! Jack, and virtuoso guitarist, Martin Taylor, occasionally came to Auchtermuchty when they were on tour to pay respects to Jimmy Shand, but have never played in the town before. Jack, now aged 82, only makes very rare appearances, but the chance to get together with Martin and play, at last, in Auchtermuchty, is just the occasion he loves. They’ll be joined by Euan Burton on bass for some classic box and guitar jazz. A real one off!
